is AceQA?
AceQA is a job portal focused on
the software testing market. It is an endeavor to
assist testing professionals like you in finding
the right job.

is AceQA different from other job portals?
AceQA gives you maximized resume
visibility in the testing job market. With AceQA
you save time and effort spent on sifting through
thousands of jobs to find the QA jobs related specifically
to software testing.

it cost to register?
No, registration is absolutely FREE!
What
would be my Username?
Your personal email id will be your user name.
What
is the difference between designation and role?
Designation refers to the exact
title that you hold in your current company, this
could be something like Software Engineer in Test
II. On the other hand, role refers to the kind of
profile you currently have or are looking for. For
e.g. Sr. Test Engineer, Lead Performance Test Engineer
etc.
I
did not get any activation mail? What do I do?
In case you don’t get an activation mail
write to us on help@aceqa.com.
When
is my account activated?
Your account gets activated once you click on the
link sent to your personal email address, which
is sent as soon as you get registered.
How
do I upload my resume?
Click on the activation link sent
to your email address and select the option of Upload
Now. You could also upload your resume in the My
Resume section of your account.
For
how long will my account be valid?
Your account will be valid forever.
However, to save it from becoming inactive, you
are advised to update your resume every month.
In
what all formats can I upload my resume?
You can upload your resume in .doc, .rtf, and .pdf
formats. Kindly refrain from using MS Word 2007.
Will
my account be active even if I do not upload a resume?
Yes, your account will be active.
However in order to maximize visibility upload your
resume. Please note, your profile will be shown
in employer searches only if you have an active
resume created.
How
many resumes can I upload?
You can upload up to five resumes, out of which
only one will be active.
How
do I update my resume?
Go to My Resume section and click on Edit to update
your resume.
How
do I know the number of times my resume has been
viewed?
You can see the number of cursory
and detailed views of your profile in My Account.
Your cursory view count goes up every time your
resume matches an employer search. Your detailed
view count goes up every time an employer clicks
on your profile to see the details.
How
can I send a resume along with my application? What
if I do not wish to send my resume along with my
application?
On clicking on Apply a pop-up window
will open asking you whether you would like to attach
resume/cover letter. You can choose either Ok to
send or Cancel to continue without attaching the
resume/cover letter.
How
many cover letters can I create?
You can create up to five cover letters out of
which only one will be active.
How
can I send the cover letter along with my resume?
What if I do not wish to send a cover letter along
with my application?
On clicking on Apply a pop-up window
will open asking you whether you would like to attach
cover letter. You can choose either Ok to send or
Cancel to continue without attaching the resume/cover
letter. However, if you would like to send only
the resume and not the cover letter, choose Ok and
do not select a cover letter from the drop down
in the next screen.
What
is the relevance of job expiry date?
This helps in saving your time
by not applying for jobs that have already expired.
By having an expiry date we make sure that you do
not get to see old jobs which in all probability
have been filled.
What
does deleting a job from the Jobs Applied folder
do or how do I withdraw my application?
If you delete a job from this folder,
it will automatically delete it from recruiters’
application received folder as well.
In case you want to withdraw your
application, you need to delete it from this folder.
Why
am I not able to apply for certain jobs?
Employers set filters on certain
jobs and only the candidates with the matching profiles
can apply. Your profile may not match the job on
one of the following criteria – Role, Qualification,
Experience, Skill set or Preferred Location.
What
are job alerts?
Alerts are weekly or daily updates
sent to your email whenever a job matching the job
alerts criteria specified by you is posted on our
site.
How
many job alerts can I create?
You can create up to five alerts out of which only
one will be active.
What
should I put in keyword while searching? Can you
give me some tips on searching?
Keywords determine the type of
jobs you get to see. The keywords that you provide
will be matched with the following fields –
Job title, details, responsibilities, profile details,
keywords and company name.
In case you type two words with
‘space’ it will search for a job with
both words in the same job posting, not necessarily
in the same order. In case you want to search for
a specific phrase, put it in quotes.
How
can I conceal my resume from some companies?
Go to Blocked Companies in My Account and add companies
that you want to block.
What
is the maximum number of companies which can be
blocked?
You can block up to three companies from viewing
your resume.
What
should I do if I forget my password?
Click on Forgot Password and enter your email address.
We will send you your account details.
Can
I share my username/password with others?
We strongly recommend you not to share your user
name and password with anyone.
