Responsibilities |
Responsible for providing testing support services for all products in the Edgenet, Inc.'s product portfolio.
Will work with the QA manager.
Will work closely with globally distributed product groups in developing the products in a timely manner.
Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on product and technical design specifications.
Develop a final test report for each product to document the quality issues found during the testing process so that fixes can be tracked.
Document questions or issues encountered and track issues through resolution or successful retest.
Define, track and report quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and find/fix ratios.
Manipulate/configure catalogs and/or software within the testing environment
Develop code coverage and profiling reporting on testing initiatives.

Details |
Prior automation experience is a must.
Should show proficiency with automated tools like mercury's QTP or Compuware's Test Partner.
Work with software development, management, operations and other quality engineers to identify areas that will benefit most from automated testing.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of QA experience.
Knowledge of Web technologies
Knowledge of both Windows and Unix environment
Strong problem solving, analytical, and technical 'troubleshooting' skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with technical and non-technical issues.
Strong research and documentation skills
Must be able to manage multiple test projects simultaneously.
Previous experience and knowledge of Software Development Cycle is expected in order to successfully manage QA testing process.
Test experience with Java, C ++, Artificial Intelligence, Visual Basic, SQL, Web base N-tier, Enterprise software
